Baby Girl

People here in Malaysia are always so curious to look in our stroller and see what our baby looks like. I don't know if they do it with all babies or they are more curious to look at western babies. Where ever we are people walk out of their way to come up to us and look at her. More than once has a security guard left their post in front of a store to come over and take a look at her. I don't mind, they always say nice things about her. The only thing that annoys me is they ALWAYS ask if she is a boy or a girl. She is usually decked out in some sort of PINK ensemble with a PINK blanket but for some reason that does not tip them off. Someone said that here in Malaysia people don't dress children in gender specific clothing but I am not so sure. I have yet to see a boy walking around in pink. (but maybe what I thought was a girl was really a boy) I think it is because they think all of us westerners look alike. So I dressed Annabelle up for her 3 month visit to the doctor. She looked so cute in her outfit and I told Mårten I dared anyone to ask if she was a boy or a girl. If they did they were going to get a punch in the stomach. No one asked, they just smiled and said SHE was cute.

We'll Miss You Farmor

After 2 wonderful months, Farmor is returing to Sweden. We are so sad to see her go. She has been so helpful and fun to have around. I know that it is just as hard for her to leave Annabelle as it is for us to see her go, but we were so incredibly lucky to have her here as long as we did. Annabelle is going to miss Farmor's bathings, singing and walks around the pool. But what she will miss most is Farmor's snoring. She loved sleeping in Farmor's room and having her feed her late at night. (So did mommy) It was lovely while it lasted and we thank her.
