Let me tell you about my girl.

Usually I just post pictures of Annabelle and don't really write much about her. I though it was about time to share more of her that you can't see in the pictures...

When I put her to bed at night we rock to sleep. She usually has something to hold when she is going to sleep. It is not the usual stuffed animals. Here are just a few of the things she has insisted on holding while going to sleep:

-A deck of cards
-4 screws that she stole from a hardware store (not on purpose)
-A piece of floor trim
-A shoe horn
-My boob

She has picked up phrases that we say the we don't realize we say so much. For example
-"Mamma thats a "big ol'" boggie"
- "I just had a "big ol'" toot"
-"Thats a "big ol'" yellow bus"
I guess "big ol'" is what little is left of my Texan roots.

Lately when she goes potty she makes up words to her own songs based on the books she is reading on the potty.

I can never go to the bathroom or shower by myself. Annabelle insists on accompanying me. The other day she dragged in her keyboard and played me some tunes while I was showering. She always does something to entertain me so how can lock her out?

Ever since she has started pre-school she has become even more attached to me. Before I used to think that it would be nice if she would be a little more clingy to her pappa, just so I could get a break. Not anymore. I have come to realize that there is such a short time in kids life where mamma is the most important. So I will take it while I can and relish it because one day I will not be the favorite anymore. But I will do my best to keep the number 1 position as long as I can.
